What did we do to deserve two albums from The Smile in one year? On Cutouts, their third album, The Smile continue to lay down fresh footprints. The roots are the same as their previous work, jazzy grooves, knotty guitar lines and often delicate atmospheres - the branches always grow differently though and on this album, the results twist and turn in even greater ways.
