The first impressive quality of this album is that it doesn't sound like a collection of out-takes , in spite of having been 'botched together' out of tapes of many of the last things Hendrix was working on just before he died ; that is to say , it really holds together as an album and doesn't generally give the impression of being 'unfinished' at all.
