Possession

Possession

Ty Segall is one of today’s greatest musical chameleons, going from face-melting riffage on 2012’s “Slaughterhouse” to the more acoustic-stripped back stylings of 2022’s “Hello, Hi.”  “Possession” is a slightly more throwback-y listening experience, no bad thing as Segall crafts these tunes with ease.

There’s moments reminiscent of Steely Dan, Ziggy-era Bowie and even Blood, Sweat & Tears. The title track is a particular treat and may well filter through to our tracks of the year!
