Fontaines’ fourth album sees the band really at the top of their game. The broadening of their sound palette as exemplified on “Starburster” confounded our expectations and made it an instant addition to many of our personal AOTY lists. “Here’s The Thing” and the superb “Favourite” have been on heavy rotation here and have sealed Fontaines as not just another post-punk revival group but as a truly special band worthy of the hype.
