Former Harold Melvin & The Bluenotes lead singer's first four albums for Philadelphia International Records, dating from 1977, '78, '79 and '80.

All four made the US Top 20 with 'Teddy' and 'Life Is A Song Worth Singing' both R'n'B Number 1 albums.

'I Don't Love You Any More', 'Close The Door', 'Turn Off The Lights', 'Can't We Try' and 'Love T.K.O.' were all R'n'B Top 5 hits.

Sadly, a car crash in 1982 left him paralysed but against the odds he rebuilt his life and career, only to be struck down by a respiratory illness following cancer surgery in January 2010 at the age of 59.
