Brett Anderson has said that he regards the song as the “high-water mark” of his writing partnership with Bernard Butler, and also as his favourite Suede song. The song has a special place in a Suede concert to this day. The single peaked at number 18 in the UK charts.
The B-side was “Modern Boys”. This song did not appear on the “Dog Man Star” album.
